Alfred Salter Primary School to Lead New Inclusion Hub for Southwark

We are delighted to announce that, in partnership with Haberdashers' Borough Academy, Alfred Salter Primary School has been selected to become an Inclusion Hub as part of the Government's commitment to strengthening inclusive practice and improving outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The new Inclusion Hub programme aims to support schools in developing excellent inclusive practice, sharing expertise, and ensuring that more children can thrive and succeed within their local schools. Through collaboration, professional development, and practical support, Inclusion Hubs will help build capacity across the education system to meet the needs of all learners.

Building on the success of our Southwark SEND Hub, which has supported schools since 2022, we are proud to continue this work on a wider scale. Together with Haberdashers' Borough Academy, we look forward to delivering bespoke support packages for schools across Southwark, sharing effective inclusive strategies, and helping colleagues develop confidence and expertise in supporting pupils with SEND.

Alongside this exciting development, we will continue our partnership with London South Teaching School Hub, facilitating the NPQ for SENCOs (NPQSENCO) and supporting the development of current and future SEND leaders across the region.

We are excited about the opportunities this brings for our school, our partners, and the wider Southwark community.
